Troubleshooting Common Email Problems Print

  • 0

Cannot send, but can receive

  • Check SMTP settings: port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS) with authentication ON
  • Some ISPs block port 25 — never use it for client sending
  • Verify the password (username is the full email address)

Cannot receive mail

  • Mailbox full? Delete large old mail or increase the quota from your client area
  • Check the domain has not expired and MX records are intact (Domains → DNS)
  • Ask the sender for the bounce message — it usually states the exact reason

My emails go to recipients' spam

  • Confirm SPF and DKIM records are published for your domain
  • Avoid spammy subject lines, all-caps, and large image-only mails
  • Do not send bulk marketing from your business mailbox — use a proper campaign tool

Password not working

Reset the mailbox password from your client area (Services → your email service). After changing it, update the password on all devices to avoid lockouts from repeated failed logins.

Still stuck? Open a ticket with the exact error message, the email address affected, and the app/device you are using — screenshots help us fix it faster.
