Where Mailboxes Are Managed
Every hosting plan from Tech Guru IT Solutions includes cPanel, and all email accounts on your domain are created and managed from there. Log in to your client portal at app.techguru.co.in, open your hosting service and click the cPanel login button, then look for the Email Accounts icon.
Creating a New Mailbox
- In cPanel, open Email Accounts and click Create.
- Select your domain if you host more than one.
- Enter the username, for example
accountsto create accounts@yourdomain.in. - Set a strong password of at least twelve characters with letters, numbers and symbols. Avoid names of family members or your company, since attackers try these first.
- Set a storage quota. For most staff, 2 GB to 5 GB is a sensible start. Do not select unlimited unless the user truly needs it, because one runaway mailbox can fill your whole hosting account.
- Click Create.
Everyday Management Tasks
- Reset a password: click Manage next to the mailbox and enter a new password. Do this immediately when an employee leaves.
- Change quota: the same Manage screen lets you raise or lower storage. Users receive bounce errors when a mailbox is full, so raise the quota or ask them to delete old mail with large attachments.
- Suspend a mailbox: you can suspend login and incoming mail separately, which is useful during staff transitions.
- Delete a mailbox: deletion removes all stored mail permanently, so download important messages first.
Good Practices for Indian SMBs
Create role based addresses such as info, sales and support rather than only personal names, so business mail survives staff changes.
