When HDMI Cables Stop Scaling

Traditional AV distribution runs dedicated HDMI cables and matrix switchers from every source to every display. That works for one room; it becomes expensive and rigid the moment you want any source on any screen across a floor or a building. AV over IP replaces that fixed wiring with your standard network, and it has become our default recommendation for multi-room and multi-display projects.

How It Works

An encoder converts each source — a PC, media player, camera or set top box — into a network stream. A decoder at each display converts it back. Both plug into ordinary network switches over standard category cabling. Routing any source to any display becomes a software action rather than a cabling project.
