Most visitors leave your website without enquiring or buying; for many Indian SMB sites the figure is above 95 percent. Remarketing shows tailored ads to these people afterwards on Google, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, bringing back prospects who already know you. It is consistently among the cheapest conversions in any account we manage.
How it works
A tracking tag, such as the Google tag or Meta Pixel, records visitors and the pages they viewed. We then build audience lists and serve ads only to those lists. Someone who viewed your pricing page yesterday sees a reminder ad today; someone who abandoned a cart sees the exact products left behind.
Smart segmentation
- Cart abandoners: highest intent; show the product, address hesitation, consider a small incentive or free delivery message.
- Service page viewers: show testimonials, case studies and a strong call to action.
- Blog readers: lower intent; nurture with helpful content before pitching.
- Past customers: exclude them from acquisition ads, or target them with repeat purchase and referral offers.
Frequency and fatigue
Nobody likes being chased by the same banner for weeks. We cap how often a person sees your ads, rotate fresh creatives, and set membership windows so lists expire sensibly: 7 to 14 days for hot intent, up to 90 for slower purchase cycles like real estate or education.
Practical requirements
- Tracking installed correctly on every page.
- A privacy policy on your site disclosing cookies and remarketing.
- Enough traffic; very small sites should build visitor volume first.
Results you can expect
Cost per lead from remarketing typically runs 40 to 60 percent below cold traffic. Your monthly report separates remarketing performance from prospecting, so the difference is visible, not assumed.
