Microsoft 365 — Plans, Setup and Teams Rollout Print

  • 0

Microsoft 365 combines business email on Exchange Online with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and Teams. It is the natural choice for organisations that already live in Office documents. Tech Guru Club supplies Microsoft 365 licences with INR pricing and manages provisioning through app.techguru.co.in.

Choosing a plan

  • Business Basic — web and mobile Office apps, 50 GB mailbox, 1 TB OneDrive. Good for email-first teams.
  • Business Standard — everything in Basic plus installable desktop Office apps on up to five devices per user.
  • Business Premium — adds Intune device management and Defender security, suited to firms handling sensitive client data.

Setup steps

  1. Order licences from the client portal and confirm the primary domain.
  2. Verify the domain with a TXT record. For domains on our DNS this is added free; raise a ticket and it is done the same day.
  3. Point MX, SPF and Autodiscover CNAME records to Microsoft. Correct SPF matters for deliverability, so do not skip it.
  4. Create users in the Microsoft 365 admin centre and assign licences.
  5. Install Outlook or add accounts on mobile; Autodiscover configures settings automatically.

Rolling out Teams without chaos

Teams works best with a little planning. Create one team per department rather than one per project at the start, and keep channel names short and predictable. Turn on recording only for roles that need it, and agree on a simple rule: chat for quick questions, email for anything a client should see. Pilot with one department for a week, collect feedback, then invite everyone.

Migrating old mail from another provider? Mention it in your ticket and we will advise the cleanest cutover window. For any setup difficulty, support is available round the clock through the client portal.
