Workflow 1: the full count
A full count scans the entire warehouse and is typically done monthly, quarterly or before the financial year closes.
- Freeze movements: pause inward and outward for the duration of the count, ideally early morning or after hours.
- On the C-72, open the TrueStock app and start a Full Audit session for the warehouse.
- Walk each aisle in a fixed serpentine pattern, sweeping the reader up and down the racks. The screen counts tags as they are found.
- Watch the live progress: TrueStock shows expected versus found, so you can re-sweep zones with gaps before closing.
- Close the session. The variance report lists missing and unexpected items immediately.
Workflow 2: the cycle count
Cycle counts audit a small slice of stock, one zone, one rack or one product family, on a rotating schedule, so the whole warehouse is verified over a cycle without ever stopping operations.
- Pick a slice per day or per week, for example Rack A on Monday and Rack B on Tuesday.
- Start a Cycle Count session on the C-72, select the zone or category, and sweep only that area.
- Investigate variances the same day while memories and CCTV footage are fresh.
Practical tips
- Charge handhelds overnight; a full charge easily lasts an audit shift.
- Walk slowly near dense racks so no tag is missed in the crowd.
- Assign each auditor a zone to avoid double coverage confusion.
